VITCAS Black Fire Cement 500g – Heat Resistant Fireplace & Stove Sealant

VITCAS black fire cement 500g is a ready-mixed, high-temperature sealing compound for repairing and jointing areas exposed to direct heat. It’s commonly used on fireplaces, solid fuel stoves, multi-fuel stoves and flue systems where you need a strong, heat resistant seal that sets hard.

This product is ideal for sealing stove pipe connections, bedding in a stove collar, filling small cracks in fire-rated masonry, and jointing rigid parts where smoke or fumes could escape. Once cured, it forms a firm, durable seal — great for maintenance jobs and small repairs when you want a neat black finish.

Important
Fire cement sets rigid and is best for joints that do not move. If the area is subject to movement, vibration, or expansion/contraction (for example some stove door areas or moving joints), a flexible high-temperature solution is often more suitable, such as stove rope with the correct adhesive for the job.

Application (quick guide)
Remove soot, dust, grease and loose material. Slightly dampen very dry, porous surfaces if needed. Press the cement firmly into the joint or crack and smooth off. Allow to dry thoroughly, then bring the appliance up to temperature gradually the first time it’s used.
