Delivery and Returns

Last updated: 29 May 2026

PlumbEZ is operated by The Oil Tank Man Limited. In this policy, “we”, “us” and “our” refer to The Oil Tank Man Limited trading through PlumbEZ.

This Delivery and Returns page should be read together with our Terms and Conditions and Privacy Policy.

If you purchase through a related website, such as Oil Tank Warehouse, the delivery, returns and terms shown on that website may also apply to that order.

Delivery Information

We aim to dispatch and deliver orders as quickly as possible. Delivery times and delivery methods may vary depending on the product, stock availability, order size, delivery address and the delivery service selected.

Delivery charges, where applicable, are shown during checkout before payment is completed.

Smaller products are normally sent by Royal Mail, courier or another suitable parcel carrier. Delivery options may include standard or upgraded services where available.

Delivery times are estimates only and are not guaranteed unless we specifically agree otherwise in writing. Delivery may be affected by courier delays, bank holidays, weather, address issues, stock availability or circumstances outside our reasonable control.

Delivery Address

Please make sure your delivery address, postcode, email address and telephone number are complete and accurate when placing your order.

We are not responsible for delays, failed deliveries, additional costs or misdeliveries caused by incorrect or incomplete delivery information provided by the customer.

Large Goods, Oil Tanks and Liquid Storage Tanks

PlumbEZ mainly supplies plumbing parts, fittings and smaller related products. However, we may also supply, quote for, link to or refer customers to related large goods such as oil tanks, diesel tanks, fuel tanks, water tanks and other liquid storage products through The Oil Tank Man Limited or related websites such as Oil Tank Warehouse.

Large goods, oil tanks and liquid storage tanks may have different delivery methods, access requirements, off-loading requirements and return processes compared with smaller parcel items.

If your order includes large goods, oil tanks, diesel tanks, fuel tanks, water tanks or other liquid storage products, delivery may be by kerbside delivery, specialist courier, haulier, tail lift vehicle or another suitable delivery method depending on the product and delivery address.

For large goods, you are responsible for making sure the delivery address, access route, unloading area and site conditions are suitable and safe. You must tell us before ordering if there are access restrictions such as narrow lanes, tight turns, weight limits, low bridges, low branches, steep roads, weak bridges, soft ground or limited off-loading space.

Off-loading, positioning and moving large goods on site is the responsibility of the customer or installer unless a specific off-load or positioning service has been agreed before delivery.

For unwanted returns of large goods, oil tanks, diesel tanks, fuel tanks, water tanks and similar bulky items, you are responsible for arranging and paying the direct cost of return transport unless we have agreed otherwise or the goods are faulty, damaged, incorrect or misdescribed.

Please contact us before returning any large goods so we can confirm the correct return address and return process. Some goods may need to be returned directly to the manufacturer, supplier or related website that fulfilled the order.

Returned large goods must be unused, uninstalled, unfitted, unfilled, complete and in resaleable condition, with all parts, fittings, instructions and packaging where possible.

This does not affect your statutory rights if goods are faulty, damaged, incorrect or misdescribed.

Failed Delivery and Redelivery Costs

If a delivery fails because the delivery information is incorrect, nobody is available where a delivery attempt or appointment has been made, the parcel is not collected from a depot or collection point, or the courier cannot complete delivery due to an issue caused by the customer, a redelivery charge, return charge or further postage charge may apply.

If a delivery fails due to an issue caused by us, our supplier, the courier or the postal service, we will not charge you for redelivery.

Checking Goods After Delivery

Please check your order as soon as possible after delivery.

If anything is missing, damaged, incorrect or appears to be defective, please contact us promptly with your order number and photographs where possible.

Delivery Damage

For consumer orders, this does not affect your statutory rights. Where goods are damaged in transit before they are delivered to you, we will work with you to arrange an appropriate solution.

If you arrange your own courier, haulier or collection service that is not offered or arranged by us, the goods may become your responsibility once they are handed to that courier, haulier or collection service.

Cancelling an Order Before It Has Been Processed

If you wish to cancel any part or all of your order, please contact us as soon as possible.

Orders may be sent to our warehouse, supplier, fulfilment partner, courier or postal service shortly after being placed. Once an order has been processed for dispatch, packed, labelled, passed to a supplier, fulfilment partner, courier or postal service, or marked as dispatched in our system, we may not be able to stop it before delivery.

If we cannot stop the order, you may need to follow the returns process once the goods have been delivered.

This does not affect your legal right to cancel a consumer order within 14 days of receiving the goods, where that right applies.

Consumer Right to Cancel

If you are a consumer buying online, you normally have the right to cancel your order within 14 days of receiving the goods without giving a reason.

To cancel, you must tell us clearly that you wish to cancel before the 14-day cancellation period ends. The quickest way is by emailing sales@plumbez.co.uk, but you may also contact us by post or another clear statement.

After telling us you wish to cancel, you must return the goods to us without undue delay and no later than 14 days from the day you told us you were cancelling.

You are responsible for the direct cost of returning unwanted goods unless we have agreed otherwise or the goods are faulty, damaged, incorrect or misdescribed.

Returned goods should be unused, complete and returned with any packaging, accessories, instructions, fittings and parts supplied with them where possible.

You may inspect goods as you would in a shop, but we may make a deduction from your refund if the goods have been handled more than necessary and this has reduced their value.

Refunds for Cancelled Consumer Orders

If you cancel a consumer order within the legal cancellation period, we will refund the price paid for the returned goods.

Where required by law, we will also refund the cost of the least expensive standard delivery option offered by us. We do not have to refund extra delivery costs if you chose a more expensive delivery service.

We may withhold the refund until we have received the goods back or you have provided evidence that you have sent them back, whichever is earlier.

Refunds will normally be made using the same payment method used for the original order.

Returns Address

Returns should be sent to:

PlumbEZ Returns
The Oil Tank Man Limited
Unit 2A, Dowland Business Park
Harrison Way
Manby
Lincolnshire
LN11 8UX

Please include your order number and contact details with the return so we can identify it.

For large goods, bulky goods or goods delivered directly by a supplier, please contact us before returning the item so we can confirm the correct return process.

Faulty, Damaged, Incorrect or Misdescribed Goods

If goods are faulty, damaged, incorrect or misdescribed, please contact us as soon as possible with your order number and details of the issue.

We may ask for photos, videos or other information to help us assess and resolve the issue.

Where goods are confirmed as faulty, damaged, incorrect or not as described, we will work with you to arrange an appropriate solution. Depending on the circumstances, this may include repair, replacement, refund or another remedy.

Exceptions to Cancellation Rights

Some goods may not be eligible for cancellation or return where an exception applies under consumer law. This may include goods that are made to your specification, personalised, custom-made, or sealed goods that are not suitable for return once unsealed for health, hygiene or safety reasons.

This does not affect your rights if goods are faulty, damaged, incorrect or misdescribed.

Business, Trade and Commercial Returns

If you buy goods as a business, trade or professional customer, consumer cancellation rights may not apply.

Returns of unwanted goods by business, trade or professional customers are accepted only at our discretion unless the goods are faulty, damaged, incorrect or misdescribed.

Where we agree to accept a business return of unwanted goods, a supplier, handling, collection, return postage or restocking charge may apply. We will confirm any applicable charge before agreeing the return.

Installation and Suitability

You are responsible for making sure goods are suitable for your intended use before installation or use.

Plumbing products, fittings, valves, wastes, traps, oil tank accessories, liquid storage accessories and related products should be installed and used correctly and, where appropriate, by a competent person.

We are not responsible for problems caused by incorrect installation, misuse, modification, wear and tear, unsuitable use, contamination, unsuitable base preparation where relevant, or use outside the product’s intended purpose. This does not affect your legal rights if the goods are faulty or misdescribed.

Complaints

If you wish to make a complaint, please contact us by emailing sales@plumbez.co.uk or by calling 01522 396350. We will aim to review your complaint and respond as quickly as possible.
