Harlequin HydroClear HC12 Sewage Treatment Plant
The Harlequin HydroClear HC12 is a sewage treatment plant for homes and buildings with up to 12 people. It treats all the wastewater from toilets, bathrooms, kitchens and laundry so the cleaned water can go to a drainage field, soakaway or watercourse. It uses a moving bed bio media system with an air blower that sits above ground in a weatherproof housing. If the power goes off it keeps working as a septic tank until the power is back. Harlequin quote 97.5% pollutant removal.
Choose the outlet, inlet depth and alarm from the options above. The price shown first is for a gravity outlet at the standard inlet depth with no alarm. Pick the pumped outlet if the treated water can’t flow away by gravity, as it has a pump built into the tank. Risers are for when your drain comes in deeper than the standard inlet.

Delivery and Offloading
Delivery is included to most of mainland UK. It usually arrives in 3 to 4 weeks, and we’ll confirm the delivery day with you before it’s sent out.
It’s dropped at a kerbside or hard standing point. At about 600 kg empty you’ll need a suitable machine to offload it. Please make sure a large delivery vehicle can reach your site. If you need a HIAB (crane) offload, the delivery is inside the M25, or the delivery is to the Scottish Highlands or islands, Isle of Wight, Isle of Man, Channel Islands or Northern Ireland, call us on 01522 396350 before ordering as these cost extra.
Installation and Regulations
A treatment plant must be installed by a competent installer to Harlequin’s instructions and Building Regulations Part H. If it discharges to a watercourse or to ground in England it must meet the Environment Agency general binding rules, otherwise you’ll need a permit. Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland have their own rules, so check with SEPA, Natural Resources Wales or NIEA before you install.
